Dr. Van Tran Family Practice is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Houston, TX
Medical assistant needed for busy Family Practice office. Office is open Monday thru Thursday, 8am-5pm. Friday 8am-2pm. This is a full-time position.
Some of the job responsibilities include the following...
- triage & room patients,
- do EKGs & spirometry tests,
- give injections & vaccinations,
- draw blood,
- prior authorizations & referrals
- notifying patients of test results
- answering phones
- scanning medical documents into EMR
- scheduling appointments
- stocking exam rooms
- use EMR. Experience in Eclinical works (EWC) or Epic.
It is very important to be quick & efficient, to be able to multi-task & take on new responsibilities. It is also very important to have good work ethics with a positive attitude.
Knowledge of common medications used in family medicine is very important.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
If you have more than 1 year of experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine that will be a great plus for you. Must be able to start ASAP.
